The GRC Blood Donor Service North-East has been a subsidiary of the GRC Blood Donor Service Baden-Württemberg - Hessen since 01 July 2003.
As in other areas, increasingly in recent years, the demands on the quality and safety of blood products have risen. In addition to the growing requirements for the financial performance of institutions, these developments call for a consolidation process towards larger and more inter-regional blood donation services.
This can bring significant cost advantages, through for example, high volume purchasing, but also for fixed costs such as quality management and drug approvals, etc.
